Hall Timberframing

Belgium

Nivelles

0 sqm

Context

After more than 10 years of activity in the Belgian timber construction sector, Timberframing built its new buildings in the industrial district of Nivelles in 2018.
The project was developed in close cooperation with the architectural agency 2G and was then studied by the timber enfineering office Ney & Partners WOW.
The 720 m² production hall is entirely built with a glulam post and beam system with a span of 20.2 m and a 3.2 T overhead crane. An office complex of 200 m² was constructed as an addition to the project.

Particularities

Erected in less than 2 weeks by Timberframing’s construction teams, the structure was completed with Kerto Ripa (LVL) elements which also act as a bracing element for the structure. The Timberframing teams carried out all the welding work required for the metal assemblies of the structure, the placement and pouring of the pre-walls and the roofing with self-supporting sandwich panels.
