The WaP project, “Work and Progress”, is a 3-storey wooden office building on an underground car park consisting of a reinforced concrete flat slab.
The wooden structure is a mixed system combining glued-laminated columns, metal beams, floors and precast laminated solid walls (CLT) and roofs. The geometric complexity of the building required the development of fairly technical solutions such as the hanger for overhangs of up to 4 m with reinforced glued-laminated boxes, a “truss column” running along the stair stringers for the bracing, a mixed CLT-steel “vierendeel” beam with a span of 22.5 m, epoxy resin assemblies, etc.
