Execution study for the contractor RNH : stability check and feasibility of the connections designed in the design phase + 3D modelling of a digital production model.
The project consists of the construction of a business centre, which promotes social change, by the committed developer Mundo LAB.
The structure is a metal post and beam frame, combined with wooden floors of Kerto-ripa. The envelope is provided by glazing and timber frame boxes.
The main feature of this project is the reuse of metal sections recovered from demolished buildings.
95% of the profiles used come from the recycling sector, which drastically reduces the environmental impact of the steel structure.
In order to achieve this goal, a great deal of coordination and verification work was necessary. Some of the recovered steel sections did not have the same cross-section or length as the sections in the basic design, and some of them were no longer weldable, therefore additional connections had to be designed accordingly.
