The project consists of extending the school De Schatkist in Evere, Brussels, with additional buildings that create a new spatial experience around a courtyard. The added volumes will be hosting a multipurpose hall, large classrooms, a library and a day care centre.
The whole building will be erected with timber frame and CLT panels, which will be kept visible from the inside. In this case the visual and tactile qualities of timber were chosen to creat a warm and inviting environment for the children of the primary school.
